We have made some significant changes in our camping structure in 2008 to ensure the longevity of summer camping in Northern California.

Camps Realignment

We are implementing one less camping week this year because there simply isn’t as much summer as there used to be. It may sound strange, but since we serve NorCal and Western Nevada, there is a wide variance of dates for summer break. Some districts are going later and some are starting earlier than ever. We have responded by tracking our camps in the middle of summer to be as user friendly as possible.

We have combined third through fifth graders for a new camp called Discovery Camp. We have also added sixth grade to Junior High Camp as a response to the spreading of the middle school concept. All other camps will remain the same.

Paper Registrations

If your church decides to do paper registrations, they are now due six weeks prior to camp rather than one month. This will allow our registration staff to process all the forms in a timely manner in order to give accurate camp size counts to the directors and camp kitchens a month in advance.
